Web Maintenance

Features Included in Web Maintenance

Few things drive visitors away like an out-of-date website. To retain repeat visitors, attract new ones, and remain viable, a website must be updated routinely. This regular maintenance should include:

Regular submissions to major search engines
Regular examination and revision of key meta tags
Adding/subtracting content from existing web pages
Adding/subtracting entire pages
Updating email addresses and contact information
Confirming the validity of external hyperlinks
Revising colors, fonts, layouts for visual appeal
Compiling monthly website traffic statistics

Rates

Clients who require our services (for previously designed SPD Media work) on a regular, on-going basis may retain our services with the benefits of monthly billing and securing a lower hourly rate.

This option is pre-paid, and unused hours may be carried forward to future months (however must be used prior to the determined expiry date). All additional hours will be billed at our regular hourly rate. Options are:

3 hours per month $180
6 hours per month $300
10 hours per month $450
additional hour $60

A Fresh Site Encourages Visits

Having a website requires a lot of time, thought, and resources in the initial planning and implementation, but creating it is only half the battle. Once you've actually put the site online, the real challenge lies in maintaining and updating it.

All Web Design and Development contracts include a period of 30 days post delivery maintenance and technical support. Thereafter maintenance activity incurs additional fees. SPD Media offers a number of solutions to meet a variety of requirements. Keeping your site fresh encourages people to return.

Regular Search Engine Submissions
The first step in any online marketing campaign is search engine registration. Submitting your website to the search engines plays a role in the popularity of your website and is a way to reach a worldwide audience. It is one of the most effective ways of marketing your website on the Internet, however, it should only play a part in your overall advertising effort.

Traffic Statistics
Statistics are valuable for gauging the popularity and effectiveness of individual pages and/or sections of the site and identifying areas for potential growth. Site traffic statistics are also instrumental in identifying the key words used to find the site, thus providing guidance for ways to make the search engine optimization even more effective. Working together, we can customize your website maintenance to best meet your needs and budget.
